Waterford City Priest threatened at knife point


A Priest in Waterford City was threatened at knife point during an aggravated burglary on Monday evening.

The culprit called to the Old Ballybricken Church Parochial House at Convent Hill at about 6-10pm and produced a knife as he pushed the priest into the house, threatening him and demanding money.

The man who entered the house is described as being just over six foot tall wearing a blue top and dark trouser. His face was partially covered and spoke with an East European accent.

Gardai in Waterford have called on anyone with information which may help them in their investigations to contact them on 051 305300.
