A
major fire has broken out in the County Waterford town of Dungarvan.
Eight
units of the Fire Brigade have battled the fire since the alarm was raised
after 8am this morning.
The

Glanbia offices in Lower Main Street in the town.
The
fire quickly spread through the building and has now spread to the roof of the
adjoining Electrical Department of the Shaws Department store. Members of the
Fire Brigade have also dampened down the roof of the nearby Saint Augustine’s
Roman Catholic Church.
Buildings in the area have been evacuated including a nearby Ardscoil na Déise
secondary school.
Gardaí
in the town have cordoned off the area to traffic while fire fighters continue
to battle the fire.
