Search Continues For East Cork Teenager

Gardaí in Midleton have issued an appeal to the public in trying to locate a teenage boy.

Gardaí are tracing the whereabouts of 14 year old Stephen Duggan who went missing from his home in Youghal last Saturday.

Stephen is described as five foot four inches in height and of slim build with brown eyes and light brown hair.

When last seen Stephen was wearing a blue hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

Gardaí say they can be contacted in Midleton on 021 462 1550 or they can call the Missing Person’s Helpline in 1890 442 552, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or alternatively anyone who feel they may have seen Stephen can call any Garda Station.

Meanwhile Gardaí have said that they are long longer looking for 15 year old Chanice McGovern who was also reported missing last weekend. 15-year-old Chanice has been located safe and well after being reported missing in the Gorey area.

Meanwhile the search for missing Co Waterford man John Gear continued today despite weather conditions not being favourable for the search.

John Gear had been missing since January 15 when his unoccupied car was found in the Brownstown Head area of the county.

The search for Mr. Gear is co-ordinated by the Dunmore East Coast Guard who are advising anyone who joins the search to dress appropriately for the weather and conditions.
